POLLY AND JOSH’S WEDDING | NYC, NY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Winter has been good to me this year, and I’ve had the chance to meet some fantastic people.  For those of you who follow my photoblog closely, you probably already feel like you know this couple personally since I’ve posted twice this year already (Snowy Central Park and a recognized feature on Borrowed and Bleu) about their incredible engagement session!  Polly and Josh’s intimate wedding took place at the Water’s Edge Restaurant in Queens, NY.  I had a great time working with Nuby from Cinematic Storytellers (here’s a link to Polly and Josh’s wedding film!) and the absolute pleasure of working with the uber-talented Carolina Rivera as my associate shooter for the evening.  Of course, much thanks as well to my beloved assistant Chi-Chi, once again for her very last appearance before the birth of our little one!  I could not have asked for a more wonderful couple with which to work.  Polly had included some traditional Bulgarian aspects to their ceremony (the offering of bread and honey to the bride and groom by the bride’s mother) to coincide with Josh’s Jewish tradition of the breaking of the glass, for a sweet amalgam of culture…  It was a tremendous joy working with you two, and I wish you the very best!

Before I am accused of being immodest, I will say from the start that I am commenting here on these pictures as works of art and not as “pictures of us”:-)

Hendrick, there is so much emotion captured in these images, such a beautiful play of color and light, and an incredible movement and dynamic that I did not think was possible to appear in a ‘static’ image. I am truly impressed with what you have done for us and we are so very lucky and thankful that you agreed to work with us on our special day.

We can’t thank you enough for having created those works of art for us and for capturing so masterfully our emotions in color and light! It has been such a pleasure working with you, with your exceptionally devoted “assistant” ChiChi:-) and we are very thankful that you put us in touch with your talented colleagues Carolina, Nuby and his assistants.

We couldn’t have wished for a better group of people to capture our once-in-a-lifetime moments and certainly could not have even dreamed of the photos you created for us – both the engagement and wedding sessions. Thank you so very much!!!
