It’s funny. In wedding photography, sometimes you get short weddings that feel long, and long weddings that feel short. Lucilla and Steven’s was definitely the latter… Even though it was a pretty long day, not once, did it ever feel that way. I guess that’s what happens when you combine two fun people full of love for each other, and a wedding party that suits them perfectly. Both Lucilla and Steven got ready for their wedding at the W Hotel in Hoboken, and after some fun quick traditional door games, moved onto portraits at the Ross Dock picnic area and Hoboken Train Station, and then the tea ceremony at one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph- Waterside Catering in North Bergen, NJ (with their glorious view of the Manhattan skyline). Their western ceremony and reception also took place there, of course, and what a reception it was! The highlight of the night was a performance by an acrobatic lion dance team, but not to be upstaged, were some awesome moves by the guests themselves as well (entertainment gloriously provided by Trust Fun Events). Thanks also to Joe for second-shooting for me and adding some great shots too!
