FAQ
With over a decade of experience providing wedding photography in NY and NJ, we’ve perfected our approach to making sure things run smoothly on the photographic end. We’ve flourished in countless “less ideal” conditions (we actually love inclement elements like rain and snow). We’ve been fortunate enough to capture star athletes and stunning actresses, to Fortune 500 NYC executives and adorably awkward couples claiming they HATE being in front of the camera (SPOILER ALERT: They loved their photos). Our end goal is always to insure our couples receive the very best care before, on, and after your wedding day. This means unlimited consultations and swift responses/advice, being an absolute pleasure and rock of calmness in any given situation on your big day, and guaranteeing your heirloom photo album is pristine for your children, your children’s children, and beyond. Remember that, of everything spent for your wedding, the investment you make in your photographer is the only one whose value actually increases over time.
I’m not going to sit here and tell you how I got into photography the day I was born (see the photographic proof instead). I have always been a photographer at heart, taking a few courses in college, and shooting events for friends, but turned professional over nine years ago. It has now blossomed into a full-time romance, sometimes to the chagrin of my real-life, ever-loving & gorgeous supportive wife.
I’m not your typical wedding photographer. Quality of light is the most important aspect of photography, and that’s what sets me apart. Since I bring my own light with me, I can operate in any given situation, which is a crucial skill when it comes to weddings taking place in dark cavernous churches or reception halls with colored walls/high ceilings. You can rest assured, your photos will be awesome everywhere you go. Stylistically, I strive for contemporary NYC photojournalism juxtaposed with classic portraiture and a modern metropolitan edginess. In other words, my fine art photography is current, but at the same time, keeps the aspects that make a photo timeless. I am extremely low-profile, and one of my favorite compliments is when I'm told they never even saw me there. If you’re looking for someone “in-your-face”, asking you and your guests for false smiles into the camera and put you in cheesy poses, I’m not for you. While I will give you direction in posing to help flatter your best features during portrait sessions, I prefer to tell the story of your day exactly as awesome as it unfolds, and no less… This awesomeness can be found in my wedding photography gallery.
Since I refuse to batch-process, or outsource for editing, and individually edit each and every single image you receive, each wedding takes a fair amount of time and devotion (rightly so). I do, however, give my clients one of the fastest turnarounds in the industry (4-6 weeks). Therefore, please understand, that in order to simultaneously be a proper dad, husband, and business owner, I must limit the weddings I take on, to 25 each year at this time.
Absolutely, and absolutely.
I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t like to keep things on his plate. Call it, “anti-procrastination”. Weddings take a great deal of time due to the sheer number of photos to cull and edit with their due personal attention, please give those about 3-5 weeks. You’ll find a sneak peek via my facebook page a day or two before your full gallery is up to view. If your wedding is in the off-season, your photos will be completed significantly sooner. Though it takes a massive amount of time to post-process each of your images, I make it a goal to highly prioritize my clients. Thusly, an important and consistent key to my success has been my efficiency. I’ve heard some horror stories with friends that have had to wait years for their finished products.. but my policy for each and every client is to never under-deliver, and always over-deliver.
I require a 50% non-refundable retainer and signed contract to reserve your date. The remainder of the balance must be paid in-full 30 days before your wedding.
God-forbid the unthinkable should happen, I will find you an excellent award-winning wedding photographer who is more than capable of delivering the goods to my (and more importantly your) high standards. Even if I were physically unable to shoot your wedding, I would still be the one editing the final images from said replacement wedding photographer.
All the photos you receive will be individually hand-edited (color-corrected, edited for exposure, cropped for composition) and incredible. They will have gone through extensive and circumspect processing. The photos you see on the blog have all been given extra-special attention and given my custom treatment. The number you receive will depend on which collection you have chosen. Feel free to contact me for details!

My wedding photography style is typically appreciated in New York City (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, the Bronx), Long Island, New Jersey, and pretty much anywhere else in the Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT), even though I reside in the Hudson Valley. That said, I’ve always got a gear bag packed for wherever you’d like me to go!
