If you remember Maria and Jason from their Roosevelt Island engagement session in NY, you’ll have an idea of how excited I was to shoot this beautiful couple’s wedding. Our bride-to-be started the day with her wedding party getting ready at the gorgeous Lincoln Harbor Sheraton in Weekhawken, NJ, while Jason and his groomsmen prepared at the boutique Standard Hotel High Line in Manhattan, NY, where one of my favorite second shooters, Haris, took some great shots. Their ceremony took place at one of my favorite churches, the Saints Peter and Paul Parish, in Hoboken, NJ, which is right across the way from the Hudson River and a spectacular view of the New York City Skyline (where we were able to take some pretty awesome sunset photos)! I truly believe that a telling sign of your identity, are the people you surround yourself with, and in the case of Maria and Jason, that love is so palpable, it was almost like you could reach out and grab it. In the presence of their friends and family, you could just tell they were so incredibly loved, and one of the reasons I always feel fortunate being a wedding photographer, is that I get to see and experience just a little bit of that shared joy. The speeches during the reception at the Chart House in Weehawken were especially moving, and amidst the awesome partying, it was just a pleasure being a part of the festivities. Of course, also awesome working with Lomotan Productions again as well, and a big thanks to Bonnie Wireback, for the vital assistance on the day! Enjoy the photos, guys!
