I am forever a student of the craft, and available for nearly any type of photo session, but specialize in fine art wedding photography. You'll also find that I have an extremely easy-going demeanor, appropriate to my contemporary and photojournalistic style, and see all my future clients as future friends. I'm based in the Hudson Valley, and Queens, NY, but always have luggage packed.

RAQUEL AND DANNY’S ENGAGEMENT SESSION | HIGH LINE, NYC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m happy to introduce Raquel and Danny, two gorgeous people who found their way to each other, and I’m honored to be shooting their wedding in 2013! It was just a fantastic time photographing them at the High Line in Manhattan- the elevated park converted from a former rail yard, and definitely one of the coolest places I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. It’s also still expanding, so I’m extremely eager to see what they come up with next! As for Raquel and Danny, I might as well have hired models for this shoot. It was just too easy capturing fantastic e-session photos for this beautiful couple. I loved how dramatic these came out, and I hope you’ll agree ;-) Thanks to Chi-Chi (who is recovering from labor quite well, for those of you wondering. and, of course, Joel has just been our lil angel =-)) and Andrew for assisting me on the engagement shoot. CHI-CHI’S MATERNITY SESSION | HUDSON VALLEY, NY PHOTOGRAPHER

Happy Friday, everyone! I felt like this week would be as best a time as any to post Chi’s maternity shots before the baby actually comes, as the due date was in a couple of weeks. I guess this is baby’s first lesson to us, that he’s the boss. ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE TYPING THIS, CHI-CHI’S WATER BROKE!!! The contractions are inconsistent for now, but we’re headed to the hospital soon.

You know how they say that the best part of anything is the anticipation? Well, in this case, as excited as I am, I’m even more nervous! I’ve never held a newborn in my entire life, as they’ve always seemed so tiny and incredibly delicate. That said, I’ve been told to prepare for one of the most unbelievably joyful moments a human being can feel in his/her lifetime. I understand that the forthcoming responsibility is enormous, but so too, will be the love and patience =) So are we ready?

Car seat installed? Check.

All of our stuff packed for the hospital? Check.

Are we ready for the physical toll and lack of sleep? Definitely not.

4am feedings, diaper changes, and just crying for the sake of crying? err, also probably not.

That moment he first clutches your finger for the first time with his tiny digits? Without question.

PS- For those of you wondering, Chi-Chi is doing well right now, just uncomfortable and somewhat swollen. Oh, and she wants the baby OUT. Like yesterday. ;-)

STEPHANIE AND VAN’S WEDDING | NEW PALTZ, NY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Fun. Goofy. In love. These three ingredients were overflowing for Stephanie and Van’s wedding. Both are SUNY New Paltz alumni just like me, and naturally, photographing such down-to-earth people is always a blast. Especially ones forgoing the obligatory, “smushing cake in the face” shot with the, “stabbing cake knife into heart” shot. That should tell you a little something about the two. ;-) We started out in Newburgh where Stephanie got ready, and then moved to Barnaby’s in New Paltz where they had their ceremony and a nice, intimate reception. The 25′ ceilings there, plus streaming late afternoon light coming in from the huge windows made for an opportunity to create some truly dramatic images! Congrats again, you two!! =)
