FRANKLIN SQUARE NY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | SAND CASTLE WEDDING | STELLA + BENNY

I’ve got to say-  It’s been a while since I’ve shot a Cantonese wedding.  Although Stella and Benny are American-Born, like me (ABC, as we call ourselves), it kind of was refreshing to hear my own native tongue spoken throughout the day.  I got to bust it out a few times too!  Still, it’ll be a while before changing careers to a UN translator, I’ll admit.  The fantastic day began and ended at the Sand Castle in Franklin Square, NY.  Though the threat of rain had reared its ugly head for the wedding rehearsal, it was nice enough to stay away from the actual ceremony and the rest of the day!  These two rockin’ people are just some really cool, friendly folks, who attempt to put no masks on and can only be themselves.  In their case, that’s just “themselves” means completely hilarious and fun to hang around.  Funny, how small this world is, as Benny’s older brother, Johnny is a photographer himself as well, whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing previously!  Not to mention seeing my former college friend, Ling, as well, who was the girlfriend of John, one of the groomsmen!  Did I mention how small of a world it was yet?  Worth noting again.  Anyway, the entire day was just blast, as it felt more like hanging out with old friends than actually working.  Thanks so much to Ricky Cheung for taking me along for this wedding!  Also, a shoutout to Nino Gallego Studios who always do tremendous job with video, and a pleasure to work with for the second time!
