MALENA AND TONY’S ENGAGEMENT SESSION | JERSEY CITY, NJ WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Here is one future bride to whom we will not be adding the suffix, “-zilla”.  Malena and Tony are one of the most laid-back couples I’ve met, and it’s always nice to photograph people who are so cool and relaxed.  Tony is actually an avid photographer, himself, and he and Malena did all the location scouting themselves!  Supposedly, Jersey City has a bit of a bad reputation, but from the places they introduced to me, I loved it… They found some really sweet nooks and crannies, including this bench and grassy hill in the middle of an industrial/commercial complex.  I love juxtapositions like that!  Thanks, also, to Justin Choy for assisting on the day as well.  I can’t wait for the wedding!!  Enjoy these e-session photos for now…  =)

Here’s an example of how some Photoshopped tilt-shift can really bring out your subjects…

Some more Brenizer Method goodness.  I try to use this technique at least one or two times a session

ME:  “Try walking on the yellow lines toward me!”
TONY:  “Oh, we do this test all the time!”

At the very end, it was getting dark and there was this area with outdoor uplighting of which I just had to take advantage..
