One great thing about being a wedding photographer, is that I occasionally get the chance to catch up with, and photograph friends from the past. Sandra and I are both Sleepy Hollow High School alumni and I was just psyched when she and her fiance, Brian, contacted me about photographing her upcoming Westchester wedding at the Transfiguration Church, NY! Their reception took place at Villa Barone in the Bronx, and was pretty darn spectacular, from their elevator entrance, to a “second dance” complete with fireworks. We also took a nice stroll along the Hudson River in Tarrytown at the still-in-development-but-already-very-picturesque Riverwalk right across from the Tarrytown train station (which has, incidentally, been gentrified a TON since I used to live in Westchester) for their wedding portrait session. Future brides? Take note. You get some pretty darn good wedding pictures, when you actually budget your time for it, like these two brilliant people. For serious. I know I say it a lot, but the flowers will wilt. the music will fade. Memories get cloudy. The only things from your wedding day that last beyond the biggest 24 hours of your life, are the images and maybe video (if you elect to have it). Prioritize the longevity of the things you choose for this one day in your life where you look your absolute best (although, in the case of these two, if Sandra and Brian were in flannel PJs and just woke up, they’d still look amazing)! 😉 Also, thanks a lot to Haris who contributed some tremendous shots as always!
