So where were you on 11/11/11? I was at the Park Ave Church in Manhattan, photographing the wedding rehearsal of my friends, Lily and John, as wifey took on their coordinating duties. It was simply a joy working together with two of the coolest, most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet. Scheduled to shoot with Joshua Wong the very next day at their actual wedding, I always feel it necessary to scope out any new location before any shoots and do my due diligence to scout out the light. It’s funny how some of the most challenging lighting situations can yield the most dramatic results. This was most definitely the case with Park Ave. From the breathtakingly immense organ and gothic stone walls, to the towering ceilings, it truly reminds you that you’re in a masterpiece of architecture. It served as a great backdrop, contrasted against a tiny ringbearer and flowergirl. Can’t wait to show you the photos from the real thing! Keep an eye out on the blog for more real soon (stay up to date by being a fan on my facebook page). For now, here are just a few shots from their rehearsal… =)
Aww the memories. the black and white are so nice!
