Locust Grove Wedding in Poughkeepsie, NY

Locust Grove was the perfect setting for Becky and Daren’s wedding! Plus, scheduling their nuptials on “Star Wars Day” (May the 4th), and me being a die-hard Star Wars fan, well… Let’s just say it was, “meant to be” =) Having already shot their super-sweet engagement session in Cold Spring earlier last year, I was definitely looking forward to an awesome day, and I was most definitely not disappointed! We had a fun-filled time during the portrait session, but when the time came for the ceremony, Daren was so emotional watching Becky walk down the aisle, he was tearing up, and even I felt a little bit welling up. Sometimes after having a first look (like this wedding), all the sentiment is on display earlier, and not while while the processional actually happens, but this is just one of those cases where the power of love just powers it’s way through. The reception was just as glorious (Becky and Daren entered to the actual Star Wars theme!), as these two and all their loved ones danced the night away. It was truly an honor photographing this wedding! Especially at the historic Locust Grove, which, in my humble opinion, is one of the very best wedding venues in Poughkeepsie, NY.
