Earlier this month, I was asked to photograph the Mid-Hudson Chinese Christian Church‘s VBS (Vacation Bible School) event which took place from July 11-15th (These photos are from Thursday, the 14th). If you haven’t noticed yet, I really love capturing events with children.. haha. There’s just something about the energy in the air, and the expressions on their faces that make capturing them exciting and different every time. It’s also a true joy to watch the youth grow up and be responsible enough to teach and take care of younger youths! While shooting, I couldn’t help but try out my new Westcott brolly and immediately decide to commit photography faux pas by including it in some of the photos. But I really loved the way they came out (especially my 24-105’s lens flare), so hey, rules are meant to be broken, right? 😉
