I’ll just come out and say it. I love second-shooting. It gives me such creative freedom to move freely about, and shoot images that I wouldn’t normally be able to shoot due to the responsibility of having to capture the “primary” shots as the main photographer. Such was the case as I was second-shooting for the talented Jenelle Kappe a few months ago at Merri-Maker’s Water’s Edge in Ocean, NJ. It was such a great time working with her and this couple! I got a bit of nostalgia while photographing John and his groomsmen’s getting ready portion of the day at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Eatontown, NJ, as they reminded me so much of my fun-loving (and not always kosher) high school friends… haha. This wedding party wasn’t afraid to just be comfortable in their own skin and have a great time, and that’s exactly what they did. And of course, when I’m around, you can always count on it showing up in photos =) Enjoy!
