Hendrick Moy Photography
Earlier this summer, I had photographed some headshots of Wayne, an actor, and husband to Kim, who is a good friend of mine. It’s funny, because the session was delayed due to some crazy poison ivy, and then we almost had to cancel the second one due to power outage from those freak storms (remember those?). The studio had no electricity, but thankfully, using battery-powered speedlight strobes is something to which I’m accustomed. With the right equipment, and knowledge of using off-camera flash, or OCF, you’re able to recreate a similar look to expensive monolights. For the basics of using OCF, David Hobby, of the Strobist blog is a fantastic resource in taking your flash photography to the next level. Heeeere’s Wayne!
Hi John, thanks for the kind words! Check your email =)
