When Melissa and Mike reached out to me having been referred by one of my most favorite brides ever (and great friend to this day) and phenominally-skilled photographer, Shirin Tinati, I knew this was a match meant to be. Though the scheduling for the day took a bit of a meandering path, both Melissa and Mike were so incredibly flexible throughout the entire time. It definitely helped that everything took place at the wonderful Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappequa, NY. While I’ve heard of the restaurant for a long time, it was my first time photographing a wedding there, and it was gorgeously quaint! The grounds were just perfect for the day, as was the weather. Combine that with the adorable love between Melissa and Mike, and I couldn’t ask for more. A therapist with an acting background, Melissa went with a delightful bluebird theme for her day, and there was personality within every aspect. She even crocheted her own totes for the breaking of the glass during the traditional Jewish ceremony! It was a skill her late grandmother passed onto her, just one of the touching aspects of the day, which was a joy from start to finish (not to mention the flip-flopped bouquet/garter toss)! Thanks to Paul Kim for contributing some fantastic shots as well, and enjoy the wedding photos!
