What can I say about these two sweethearts? From the moment we first spoke/met on Skype, I instantly knew they were going to be something special. With Andrew’s down-to-earth and chill personality, along with the sheer vibrance that just naturally radiates from Kelly, this is one couple I could not WAIT to photograph. Add in the fact that they were planning on getting wed at the always-impeccable, Beacon Roundhouse, and that just sealed the deal for me! Kelly started the day out getting ready at the Blushery and Campbell and Campbell Hair Salon in Beacon, then moved on to the Roundhouse hotel to continue bridal prep with her girls, as Andrew got dressed with his groomsmen at the same place, making things logistically easier for everyone. After some nice bonding time, along with a serendipitous card reading (they coincidentally wrote some of the same exact things to each other!), we then headed towards the defunct train tracks for an emotion-filled “first look”, and had the remainder of their gorgeous portrait session at Long Dock Park. Their ceremony took place at the nearby 165-year-old St. Joakim Church– Yet another terrific idea by these two, so very little time was wasted traveling between locations. After their said their vows and made it official, we took another short trip to the Hudson Valley Brewery, which was the perfect backdrop to some more terrific photos, while my talented second shooter, Paul Kim, headed back to the Roundhouse to get the many incredible details (Kelly is an archaeologist, so you KNOW there were some incredible and ornate touches!) and capture cocktail hour. What a party this was, from a sweet choreographed first dance, heartstring-tugging parent dances, and powerful speeches, to some of the best dancing I’ve witnessed all year! It was absolutely a wedding for the ages. Thanks so much to my always-awesome team of Paul and Jon for assisting again as well! Enjoy the wedding photos!
